When you know a customer is displeased, sometimes simply reaching out is enough. When it isn't, you'll have to step up your game. To right a customer when they feel wronged you might have to refund them the money they spent, maybe offer them a discount, or even a free service in the future. Yes, this means your company will incur a small financial loss, but one that is smaller than the loss of a valued customer, who could also potentially bad-mouth your company to others. 

Remember, business is about people - we're fixing those HVACs for people. Which means, customer service, no matter your industry, should still be top priority.
